Report On How Has New Music Technology Affected People And The Industry?

People can access music through many types of products or use everyday appliances such as computers to listen or to watch music. Below are a couple of devises and services that are used to access music resources:

Products: I pods, Mp3 players

Computer Access: Internet, You tube, Limewire, Myspace

Also you can record music either in a recording studios or also using software which can easily be installed onto you home computer. These are just a few software names

All of this NEW technology means that we can:

Buy music online such as Internet singles on iTunes are cheaper than actual singles in the shops.Mp3’s are portable which can hold Loads of tracks and can be downloaded onto the device with no fuss. Also download photos and video which one bad point is that this new technology will encourages criminal activity.

What effect can this type of technology do to affect the music industry?

Apple are the world leaders in digital downloads which own the following:

ITunes, IPods, I phones, Apple Mac, which are all a global successes.

Mayday Parade...How they made Success

Mayday Parade

Mayday Parade isa rock band from Tallahassee, Florida. Mayday Parade resulted from the merger of two popular Tallahassee local bands, Kid Named Chicago and Defining Moment, which helped the newly minted melodic rock unit amass a quick buzz around its hometown scene upon forming in the mid-2000s.Their EP Tales Told by Dead Friends sold over 20,000 copies without support. On July 10, 2007, Mayday Parade released their debut album A Lesson in Romantics on Fearless Records, to which they are currently signed.


Band members consist of:

Derek Sanders – vocals, keyboard
Jeremy Lenzo – bass guitar, vocals
Alex Garcia – guitar
Brooks Betts – guitar
Jake Bundrick – drums, percussion, backing vocals

MySpace is one place were fans can look upon the bands biographies and keep up with video podcasts that the band produce either weekly or monthly casts. Also information such an next gig venues where they would be playing will always be updated so that fans can see them LIVE.
